Josephine Jatzlau (*1997, Berlin, GER) studied Media Studies at the Bauhaus University Weimar from 2015 - 2018. Since 2018 she has been studying photography at the Academy of Fine Arts Leipzig, since 2020 in the class of Heidi Specker. In 2022 she studied one semester at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie Amsterdam (NL).

Her artistic work is often about human interventions in natural processes and conditions. With an interest in narrative stagings and disconcerting visual moments, she moves in a field between documentation and fiction.
