‘DOHLEN’ is a multi-part photographic series consisting of gridded tableaus, which are arranged next to each other to create a wall fris. The work is dedicated to that very bird species and its nesting places. With each panel added to the series, the typology shifts to a representation of fictional habitats.This shift describes the forced adaptation of many bird species in response to dwindling habitats and human encroachment on once pristine areas.
